How to master the prediction of your very own future.
e are now 6 weeks into the year 2023, you feel that everything is the same as in 2022 but you want things to change. You want adventure, excitement, new relationships and perhaps a new job and career! If you are looking for change to transform into that unstoppable force which is more motivated, focused and looking for new experiences, you need to look at what you did this morning and previous mornings.
Did it start off with that annoying alarm, that you use to shock your spirit back into your body to wake you up to begin your routine, then did you check your phone to plug into emails, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter posts, WhatsApp and text etc.. followed by getting out of bed the same way every day not even being conscious of what foot touched the floor first? Then moving to getting a shower and brushing your teeth, with the same dominant hand, start brushing the same area of your mouth and finishing at the same section of your mouth in a military fashion.
Some of this sounding familiar?
Then you get dressed in the same way leaving your home and taking the same route to work coming home the same route in the same traffic and greeting your family/friends at the same time talking about the same topics, eating at the same place at the table, moving to your parlour sitting on the same seat and plugging in to watch the same programmed TV Shows on Netflix, Prime, Disney+, etc. Wrapping up for the evening brushing your teeth again and retiring to bed to repeat the same pattern the next day and the day after?
Well you have just predicted your future for the next decade and beyond
Let me tell you another version that will help you create the future you desire! Start with some pattern interrupters, change your alarm to something soothing, DO NOT CHECK YOUR PHONE, before you jump out of bed, stay in bed for 5 mins and think of things you are grateful for (there is magick in gratitude) It could be anything like, I am grateful that I have a bed to I am grateful I have my partner next to me etc. Be conscious when you get out of the bed of what foot hits the ground first (Your awareness is part of predicting your future). Interrupt that lovely hot shower with a few 30 seconds of cold bursts of water, (you will feel alive 🤣) brush your teeth with your less dominant hand to help with left and right brain coherence. What fires together wires together and if you don't use it, you lose it!
Doing just those tweaks will be a great help to you... but WAIT! There's More! 👨🏿💼You have to get back into your passion and hobby, fishing, walking, reading, arts/crafts, writing, stargazing and so on, its important you take time for "ME development time" yes you may work super-duper hard at work, but when was the last time you worked super-duper hard?
We are all giving too much of our energy out and not focusing on the main generator which is us.
Developing your mind, mindset and body is crucial to predicting a better future, this is the area where excuses CAN NOT and WILL NOT stick, because a happier you is a healthier you for your family, friends and people around you, you will see that more people want to be around you and this leads nicely onto what I mentioned at the beginning, creating new/better relationships, new adventures, exciting opportunities and a new career.
Oh... I forgot to mention, try taking different ways to work and from work, it may take longer, but that is part of the point, slow down the rush fight or flight senses in you and start to be, you start to enjoy the journey and bump into that unexpected opportunity.
